Glimpse of Glory

Feb 16, 2025    Kirk Flaa

In this message, we're invited to witness a glimpse of God's glory through the Transfiguration of Jesus. The account from Mark 9:1-8 reveals three profound truths: an assurance for our future, an affirmation of Jesus' identity, and an admonishment to listen. As we face life's challenges, this glimpse of glory reminds us that our suffering is not in vain. Just as Jesus' suffering led to our salvation, our trials can be redeemed for God's glory. The text beautifully illustrates how Moses and Elijah, separated by centuries, were still recognizable - hinting at our own eternal identities. This should inspire us to live with an eternal perspective, valuing our heavenly reward above earthly accolades. The message challenges us to put on our spiritual 'noise-canceling headphones' and truly listen to God's voice amidst the distractions of the world. As we meditate on these sacred moments, we're encouraged to ask: How will this work for my good and for His glory?
