To God Be the Glory Alone (8am)
One question I am often asked is, “How do we know the will of God for our life?” or “How do we glorify Him?” The truth is that in our sin nature we strive to receive accolades, praise and glory for ourselves. Our desire is to leave a legacy, to make a name for ourselves; to be remembered. However, the truth is that God will not compete with us for Glory. God humbles the proud but gives grace to the humble.
This week we are continuing our sermon series of the Solas, looking at “To God be the Glory Alone”. As we look at Romans 11:36 the truth that we see is that God gives us everything, including our abilities. It is through the gifts and talents God gives us to do His will. Through obedience to His will, we acknowledge He is the source of our goodness and power so that He received all of the glory, honor and praise.
I look forward to worshipping with you this Sunday.
