The Solas: Scripture Alone

This week we will embark on a 5-week journey looking at the Solas of the Reformation, which are five statements that essentially distinguished the Reformation from the theology of the Roman Catholic church in the 16th century. “Sola” is Latin for “only” and was used in conjunction to five key teachings of the Reformers, which were intended as a positive biblical statement and a corrective to the church’s excesses of the day. 

Our first stop will be the Scriptures, where we will learn why the Bible alone is the sole source of authority for Christians.
